Ingredients
- 390 g flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 230 g unsalted butter (at room temperature)
- 112 g cream cheese
- 200 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Ingredients for the topping:
- 120 g icing sugar
- 100 g Nutella
- 60 ml cream or milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Preparation
- Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix the butter with the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the sugar and mix again.
- Now add the egg and the vanilla extract to this mixture and mix into one.
- Add the contents of the bowl with dry ingredients to the bowl with the smooth mixture.
- Mix it all into a soft batter.
- Let the batter rest in the fridge for 2 hours.
- The dough is now a fairly solid mass, so you can take pieces of dough with a spoon or your hands and bake them into biscuits between the baking sheets.
- Bake them until golden brown.
Preparation for the topping
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl to form a soft and creamy batter.
- Scoop the topping onto the biscuits with a teaspoon once they have cooled.
Optional: to decorate afterwards: use some crushed nuts, pieces of chocolate, ... and sprinkle the biscuits as desired.
