Requirements for the doughnuts
- 250 g self-rising flour
- 250 ml milk
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- 3 eggs
- 125 g sugar
- 15 ml vegetable oil
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Requirements for the icing
- 100 g milk chocolate
- 150-200 g icing sugar
- 1 coffee cup of milk
- food colouring (e.g. red)
- frosting tube or piping bag with small opening
Preparation
Doughnuts:
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until smooth.
- Spoon the dough into the doughnut baking trays.
To garnish:
- Melt the milk chocolate in a double boiler.
- Dip the top halves of the doughnuts in the chocolate and let this set for a while.
- Make icing by mixing icing sugar and milk until nice and homogeneous and not too runny. Start by adding the milk to the icing sugar little by little.
- Divide the icing between two small bowls and add the chosen food colouring to one of them.
- Put the icing in a frosting tube or very fine piping bag and draw a spider’s web on each of the doughnuts.
